DavidBROOKOn 27th April 2026, David, passed away peacefully at Brompton House Care Home, Broadway, aged 93 years.

Beloved husband of the late Vavie, much loved father to Nikki, Jim and Ness, grandpa, great-grandpa and father-in-law.

David Brook, son of Frank V. Brook CBE and grandson of Ernest Brook, founder of Brook Motors, joined the family business where he completed his engineering apprenticeship and rose to become Sales Director, playing a key role in the company's expansion. David also served as a Director of Huddersfield Town during the 1960s, contributing his experience and leadership to the club during a formative period in its history. His involvement reflected a deep commitment to his community and the club's development both on and off the field.

David devoted his time in later life to guiding visitors in Stratford-upon-Avon, sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for William Shakespeare at Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried. In this role, he found great pleasure in bringing history to life for others combining his passion for story telling with his natural warmth and insight.

David will be sadly missed by many.

Funeral Service to take place at St. Michael's Church, Broadway on Thursday 4th June at 2pm.

Family flowers only please, but donations, if wished, for Dementia UK may be left at Church or sent c/o
